Our unrefined, gourmet quality Sea Salt is harvested fresh from Northern French Atlantic coast. In the harvesting of sea salt, seawater is collected in big trays, and staged outdoors where the sun and wind evaporate the water, leaving behind the salt. Seawater is packed with 84 natural minerals and natural sea salt contains trace amounts of iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, manganese, zinc, and iodine. Many of our customers find natural sea salt to be more flavorful than traditional, refined table salt (which has had these trace minerals removed). You'll want to keep your salt from absorbing moisture so store it covered and away from humidity. We recommend that you toss in a few grains of brown rice in your salt shaker to keep it freely flowing. In addition to home sizes of our gourmet sea salt we also offer a bulk sea salt for those that need larger quantities.
