Amish Turkey
Use the following table to figure out what Turkey you need:
Checkout our recipe on how to cook this Turkey!
If you are located outside south Florida, place your order with Overnight Shipping to get it delivered before Thanksgiving
Let us know your preferred date of delivery on check-out. Orders placed after 11/17 will require priority (Black, Red states) or overnight (green states) shipping to arrive by thanksgiving. If you order additional items with your order they will ship now and your Turkey before Thanksgiving unless you request everything to ship together. Please let us know on your order notes.
About Our Amish Turkey
Our turkeys are hatched, grown, and processed in the Midwest by local Amish family farmers in Troy, Michigan. The Turkeys are raised inside naturally ventilated houses and have free access to feed and water.
Your Amish turkey will arrive ready to cook “de-feathered and cleaned”. Giblets are included!
The turkeys will be hard-chilled (not frozen), which means they should arrive to you in condition to just brine and cook. That said they may freeze on transit depending on where you are. Note that thawing them out is very simple and if you are brining it doesn't even matter!
Thanksgiving Sides
Just like last year, we are making finding the perfect Thanksgiving meat even easier for you. Our Steakhouse (@TheWagyuBar) has prepared a series of premade sides to complement our Thanksgiving turkeys. They come cooked / frozen. All you need to do is heat them up and garnish them. Sides added to a Turkey order will be shipped together with Turkey.

What is so special about our turkeys?
Our Amish turkeys are raised without hormones or steroids. They are raised on a vegetable, protein diet that contains no animal by-products, artificial ingredients, or coloring agents.
- The flocks live in clean, modern, well-lit, ventilated barns.
- These turkeys have free access to feed and water.
- They are fed a diet of corn and soybeans. No animal by-products.
- Raised without hormones or steroids.
- The birds aren’t crowded or stressed.
The farmers we work with are peace-loving folks who are extremely community-minded and express love and concern for each other, so it’s only natural that they treat their turkeys with the same care. Our farmers provide a natural, looked-after environment for their all-natural turkeys to live and grow.
If you have any special instructions or questions, drop us a line or leave a note during checkout. We will get back to you right away!
Why weight ranges?
Turkeys are not cars; they are not manufactured. In fact, our turkeys grow to whatever size they get. We do not force-feed them and they aren't fed anything to make them eat more or get fat. The farm forecasts what size turkeys they expect to get, based on history, and this is how they break them down and send them to us. This means we may not have a certain size, even when the farm "thought" they would have it. If this happens, you will hear from us and we may ask you to select a different size.
You may get a Turkey on the low end of the weight range or on the high end of the weight range. If you ask us for a specific size we will TRY to honor it but we cannot promise it. There are just too many turkeys, too few days before we receive them, and the Thanksgiving rush to get them out making the process very complex.
If you are gambling on getting a turkey of a higher size, you are better off going a size up.
Expensive? Well, that depends...
You can certainly buy a Butterball Turkey for roughly $1.50 / $2 per pound ($30 for a 20 lb bird), but you should know what you are buying. If someone is selling you a Turkey for $2, how much do you think it costs them? Probably $0.50/lb? That covers the bird, inspection fees, packaging as well as the space, feed, transportation, and margin for the producer, and then the actual margin for the retailer. If it sounds like very little, that's because it is.
Your typical Thanksgiving turkey is raised in a high-density confinement facility, which endures overcrowding, poor sanitation, and lack of access to outdoor space. It is all about keeping costs down. Cheap birds that get fat quickly, cheap feed, low labor costs, and maximum utilization space. If you really dare to, go search about it on Google (not recommended).
On the flip side, we work with smaller farms that treat their birds with love, and that comes at a cost. After all, a high-quality Turkey will cost you roughly $11.50 per 1.5lb serving which is still relatively inexpensive.
Tools of the Trade
Need help cooking the Turkey? We recommend having a good meat thermometer and perhaps an injector.
