90/10 Ground Beef - 90% Lean Protein / 10% Fat

Ground beef is the most popular type of beef sold in the US.

But not all ground beef is equal.

Most ground beef available today is pre-ground by large-scale meat processors, increasing the likelihood of contamination and widespread recalls. We recommend purchasing from specialty butchers who grind the meat themselves from whole sides of beef they butcher, just like we do!

Ground beef is one of the most versatile proteins. Think about the variety of dishes you can make including burgers, bolognese, meatballs, tacos, chili, meatloaf... the list goes on.

BECAUSE of that, we set out to provide some of the MOST amazing tasting ground beef out there.

Our ground beef is lean and tasty. It doesn't get much better than that and our customers tend to agree!

OUR GROUND BEEF LOOKS FATTIER, BUT IT ISN'T

This is a custom blend that includes Short Rib, Brisket (30% fat), a bit of chuck and tenderloin (super lean). The overall blend will have a fat ratio of 10% (+/- 2%). It looks fattier because it is a custom blend but you are getting 90% (+/- 2%) lean protein.

If you're comparing us to the grocery store or one of those "whatever-box" vendors, keep in mind that their ground beef is pre-made at the slaughterhouse. They grind lean skeletal trim along with all the scraps and pieces of lean muscle left on the carcass, mixed with whole chucks, resulting in a 90/10 lean-to-fat ratio, similar to ours. However, grocery stores simply open these tubes, pack the beef, and wrap it in plastic. The key difference is that you won't find high-quality prime meats or premium cuts like Brisket, Short Ribs, or Tenderloin in their products.

So while our product may look fattier, it is not. The USDA oversees our process and claims.  Every time we make a batch, the USDA inspector checks it to make sure the blends are compliant with the claims we are making.

This product ships frozen.
